Work conditioning and injury rehabilitation addresses the physical and functional requirements for a patient’s successful return to work through flexibility, strength, endurance and coordination training.
Work conditioning and injury rehabilitation is designed to safely return injured workers to work as quickly as possible. Physical therapists create a program that mimics the injured worker’s job duties to assess deficiencies and address them. The goal is to bring function back to the level needed for job performance goals.
In addition to getting injured workers back on the job, work conditioning and injury rehabilitation is intended to increase strength, endurance and cardiovascular function, mobility and flexibility, ergonomics, safe lifting and body mechanics. Through treatment patients will better understand how different movements affect their body making them less susceptible to reinjury.
"I have made huge progress since going to physical therapy. I was using a cane and unable to even sit on the floor or get up easily. I am no longer using the cane and my range of motion and strength has greatly improved. Everyone at Physical Therapy of the Rockies is highly professional and great to work with. They pushed me when I needed to be pushed. I highly recommend using Physical Therapy of the Rockies if physical therapy is needed I will use them again if the need ever arises.”
