Sports medicine focuses on helping athletes of all ages safely return to activity following injury or surgery. The therapist will use a variety of tests and measures to assess and identify deficiencies in strength, coordination, balance, proprioception and range of motion. They will also look for signs of swelling and inflammation, which helps therapists understand the progression of healing.
In addition to helping you recover from injuries, we can teach you how to prevent future injuries. Having a physical therapist monitor and maintain your health is a great preventative measure that will help cut down on the number of injuries you experience and the amount of time you are sidelined.
“I love coming to Physical Therapy of the Rockies! It’s like coming to see my friends (who get paid to hang out with me, and help me heal). Not only did I recover from my injury with their help, I am now a better runner! I am a Physical Therapy of the Rockies patient for life.”
