Osteopractic physical therapy is a subspecialty within physical therapy where the treating physical therapist has extensive training in diagnosing and treating neuromusculoskeletal disorders.
An osteopractor, or bone practitioner, is highly skilled in diagnosing and treating neuromusculoskeletal disorders. Osteopractic physical therapy is focused on managing neuromusculoskeletal disorders through evidence-based treatment. Treatments may include dry needling, spinal manipulation or instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization.
The benefits of osteopractic physical therapy include reduced pain, accelerated recovery, reduced disability, facilitate tissue healing, reduce joint dysfunction and eliminate functional impairments.
At Physical Therapy of the Rockies our owner, Matt Casseday, is an osteopractic diploma certified practitioner. To earn his osteopractic diploma, Matt completed 178 hours of post-graduate training in spinal and extremity high-velocity low-amplitude thrust manipulation, dry needling, instrument assisted manual therapies and differential diagnostics for the management of neuromusculoskeletal conditions.
“I love coming to Physical Therapy of the Rockies! It’s like coming to see my friends (who get paid to hang out with me, and help me heal). Not only did I recover from my injury with their help, I am now a better runner! I am a Physical Therapy of the Rockies patient for life.”
