Hip pain is generally found in older patients or women, but is not something that you should wait upon before getting treated. Hips are fragile, as are most bones as you age, but they are also prone to extra damage too. A dislocated hip can make it impossible to walk, and a shattered hip can mean that you are completely immobile and unable to do anything.
Women who give birth naturally may have problems with their hips, especially if they are not naturally wide enough apart to give them the extension and mobility required to push a baby out. And older individuals must be careful about doing things that can damage their hips, since they are much more fragile.
If you notice any sort of pain in your hips, you should head to an emergency room or schedule an appointment with your physician and have it checked out. If your hip pain is caught early enough physical therapy can be done easily and without too much hassle. But if you wait too long, or break a hip, or dislocate it, then the treatment become far longer and much more strenuous. Don’t let your body dictate your life.Learn More
